PPE is just the push of a button away at Columbus airports

Vending machines aren’t just for stale chocolate cupcakes anymore.

John Glenn Columbus International Airport and Rickenbacker International Airport have recently added vending machines that sell personal protective equipment to help travelers observe health guidelines and stay well amid the COVID-19 epidemic.

Among the items available for purchase are: face masks, hand sanitizer, disposable gloves, non-contact infrared thermometers, and packs of alcohol wipes.

The machines accept credit cards, including the contactless variety, and mobile payments.

Other airports have tested out the use of these vending machines in cities such as Las Vegas, Sacramento, and Orlando

At John Glenn International, the machines are located near the Transportation Security Administration checkpoints of Concourses A, B, and C. Those who have yet to undergo a security screening can still access the machines. At Rickenbacker, there is a machine in the ticket lobby.
