Charles Alley Memorial Park

Since 1978, this 350-acre site at 2805 Old Logan Rd. SE has been a city park within the Lancaster Parks and Recreation Department. Bring a lunch and choose from several outdoor picnic areas, or grab sensible shoes and explore seven miles of hiking trails.

The park also features two lakes, a disc golf course, a log cabin, a covered bridge, and the Goslin Nature Center.

After you’re finished exploring, take a short drive (less than 15 minutes) to Rockside Winery and Vineyards at 2363 Lancaster-Newark Rd. NE. Started in 2011, the winery and tasting room sit on 17 acres. Featured varieties include Vidal Blanc, Chambourcin, Niagara, and Corot Noir. Try them in the tasting room, and get some sunshine on the adjacent patio that overlooks the vineyards.
