This downtown Easter egg hunt could pay off in a big way

Candy-filled eggs are great and all, but what really brings a smile to our face are the ones filled with cold, hard cash.

If you find yourself on April 2 in downtown Columbus, you could just happen upon such an egg, courtesy of Danceville, U.S.A.

The ballroom dance studio, according to a release, is celebrating Easter weekend and their upcoming move to The Sanctuary on Neil by hiding 101 eggs with cash prizes inside. One hundred eggs will be filled with $5 bills, and one special golden egg will have a cash voucher worth $500 inside.

“We want to help bring some fun to the community after the crazy year we’ve had,” Owner Keith Michael said in a prepared statement. “We thought this would be a great way to celebrate our upcoming move and get Columbus excited for the future of Danceville, USA.”

Starting the morning of Friday, April 2, eggs will be hidden so participants can search throughout the weekend. The location will be announced on Danceville social media at 7 a.m. that day.

Danceville U.S.A, which teaches a variety of dances including waltz, tango, foxtrot, swing, and salsa, is slated to begin lessons May 1 in their new location.
