A mobile, Hello Kitty-themed cafe is coming to Columbus

Jack McLaughlin

You’ve probably seen Hello Kitty adorning everything from clothing to backpacks to bedspreads and even cutlery sets. Chances are, though, you’ve never seen the globally popular feline serving food.

That’s about to change, because the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck is coming to Easton.

Now in its seventh year, the mobile, electric-pink vehicle emblazoned with Hello Kitty icons is making its way across the United States. And a one-day stop in Columbus is next on the list.

The truck will be parked outside of the Easton Crate & Barrel, located at 3965 Townsfair Way, on September. 18 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Customers can purchase a variety of different treats modeled after the brand’s iconic white cat. This includes a five-piece macaron set, Giant iced cookies, madeleines, a set of hand-decorated mini-cakes in the image of different characters from the Hello Kitty world and much more.

Drinks in unique bow-shaped bottles will also be available to purchase.

And it isn’t only food items customers can buy, either. The truck will also be selling special and limited-edition Hello Kitty collectibles, including new Hello Kitty Cafe shirts and rainbow thermoses, enamel pin sets, sprinkle mugs, and canvas totes.
