The details on a new wedding and event venue

A new retreat and event venue slated to open by early 2022 will feature an onsite winery and cidery, according to a release.

The plan comes from Vue Columbus owners Carl and Liz Seiley, who have planned the venue, Retreat 21, for 11437 Industrial Parkway in Marysville. Groundbreaking is slated to begin later this month. The project was designed by Sidecar Creative and will be constructed by The O’Leary Company.

“This past year was incredibly challenging for the event industry,” said co-founder Liz Seiley in a prepared statement. “We knew we had to focus on the future and do something bold and impactful to recover from the emotional and financial deficit left from Covid-19. We owed it to our employees, to our clients, and our family to keep our vision for Retreat 21 alive.”

Retreat 21 will sit on over 64 acres of prairie land, farm, woodlands, trails, streams, ponds, and waterfalls. The venue will include indoor and outdoor venue spaces, outdoor patios, modern cabins, a natural swimming pool, hot tubs, meeting rooms, and adventure courses in addition to the winery and cidery. Guests will be able to access an 18-hole golf course at Rolling Meadows Golf Club that’s adjacent to the property.
