New concept takes over restaurant portion of popular farm eatery and butcher shop

There’s something new on the menu at Blystone Farm.

The combination butcher shop, bakery and event venue formerly housed its own steakhouse, but last month, a new restaurant concept moved into its kitchen, Blystone Farm’s butcher shop, bakery and event space remain open.

34 Centenario at Blystone Farm officially opened its doors to the public last month. The contemporary Mexican spot is located within Blystone Farms, which is located at 8677 Oregon Rd. in Canal Winchester.

The new concept is owned and operated by Alex Perez Flores, a Mexico City native. 34 Centenario is named after his address in Mexico City, where the chef developed his love of cooking.

After attending culinary school in Mexico and later learning under top French chefs, Perez and his family relocated to Columbus in 2009. The eatery will offer everything from traditional Mexican fare to steaks, burgers and more.

Blystone Farm operated its steakhouse concept until earlier this year. 34 Centenario opened on Nov. 11, and a Blystone Farm Facebook post from last month reads “Under new ownership, stop by 34 Centenario at Blystone Farm!”

The eatery is open Thursday, from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. It is closed Monday through Wednesday.
