New rolled ice cream spot coming to the Short North

Jack McLaughlin

A new place to grab dessert in the Short North is about to be rolled out, and it’s rolling out the ice cream with it.

Literally.

That’s because Roll N Go, a small Columbus-based rolled ice cream chain, is bringing its newest location to 983 N. High St. in the Short North.

Roll N Go has not yet announced information on the location’s opening.

The new ice cream spot is taking over the former leasing office of Borror Apartments, which is located at 985 N. High St.

Also called stir-fried ice cream or Thai ice cream, rolled ice cream pours a liquid ice cream base onto a “cold stone” slab that is the scraped off and served, resembling a rolled sheet of ice cream.

Roll N Go operates one other location at 5043 Tuttle Crossing Blvd. The ice cream spot also had a Polaris-area location, which has since closed.
