Early this morning, an individual drove an SUV into the front entrance of a Grandview grocery store after they were unable to enter after-hours.

According to Police and a statement provided by Giant Eagle, at approximately 1:30 a.m. today, officers responded to a call at the Giant Eagle Market District grocery store, located at 840 W. 3rd Ave. in Grandview.

An individual initially attempted to enter the store, which closes daily at 9 p.m. After they were unable to enter, they drove an SUV into the front entrance of the building.

“Overnight, while the Grandview Yard Market District was closed, an individual attempted to gain entry into the store and subsequently drove a vehicle into the main entrance,” a statement from Giant Eagle reads.

The store confirmed that no one was injured in the incident. It is open today, and will continue to operate under its normal business hours.
