Police on the lookout for suspects involved in gas station shooting that left woman paralyze

Columbus Police are on the lookout for multiple suspects involved in a shooting that left a woman paralyzed.

According to Police, 33 year old Marissa Jones and a 51 year-old companion were patronizing a gas station located on the 1900 block of Cleveland Avenue on Sept. 21 when they were approached by a group of five individuals.

The group attempted to rob the two and produced a handgun. A struggle between both parties broke out, and a shot was fired, striking Jones.

She was transported to a nearby hospital at the time in critical condition. It was later announced that she is paralyzed from the neck down.

Police have currently arrested two of the five suspects they believe were involved in the crime, a 20 year–old suspected shooter and a 15 year-old accomplice. They are currently attempting to apprehend the other three.
