According to police, the shooting came following an argument between several women and a third party, as the women were attempting to leave a nearby parking lot but were blocked in by another vehicle.

According to the victims, a man approached their vehicle and fired into it, striking one of the women.

By the time this story was published, no one has been arrested for the incident.

The shooting comes after Columbus recorded its highest homicide rate ever last year, with shootings becoming more commonplace in popular social and dining spots. Several took place in the Short North last summer alone.
