Chic new German Village wine bar now open for business

Jack McLaughlin

If you thought a bar concept named after household chores doesn’t sound like fun, you’ll want to think again.

The Landry, a complimentary bar concept to German Village’s Hausfrau Haven, is now open for business. The chic new wine bar was created by Hausfrau Haven owners Julie D’Elia and Faye Muncie.

And if you’re wondering where the new name came from, you won’t to look very far. The storefront that houses the wine bar, which is located at 765 S. Third St. in German Village, was formerly home to a laundromat.

The new spot plans to hold occasional tasting events, and will offer a small variety of craft beer and cocktails as well. Wine from Hausfrau Haven (located at 769 S. Third St.) can be opened for a corkage fee.

The Laundry will operate under limited hours, for now at least, and will only be open on Friday and Saturday, from 4-9 p.m.
