A brand-new, and totally wholesome, spot for breakfast and lunch has arrived at Schumacher Place.

Simply Honest Cafe held its soft opening on Aug. 12, and will officially open for delivery, take-out and curbside pickup on Aug. 26. The eatery will open its dining room to the public shortly afterward as well.

The new concept is located at 567 E. Livingston Ave., across the street from Nationwide Children’s Hospital, near the corner of Livingston Avenue and Parsons Avenue. The restaurant has taken over the former home of Scrambler Marie’s.

Simply Honest Cafe is dedicated to serving fresh, whole foods that are ethically and often locally sourced. The eatery has partnered with local businesses and farmers such as Local Matters, The Fitness Loft and Yellowbird to this end.

“Simply fresh. Honestly delicious. We’re a family owned, fast casual cafe, with a focus on tasty, healthy, local food,” said owner Jeff May. “We want to provide our community with the freshest food with the most flavor. Always ethically sourced and locally sourced when possible.”

The eatery offers both breakfast and lunch, featuring items like an egg and potato cake sandwich, California BLT Wrap, Aztec Chicken Tortilla Soup and more.

The South Side restaurant is open daily from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m.
