The third Columbus location of Torchy’s Tacos is set to open in just over a week.

The Texas-based chain plans to open its newest central Ohio restaurant, which is located at 6042 Hamilton Rd. in Westerville’s Hamilton Quarter development, on Dec. 13 at 10 a.m..

“We’re very excited to continue our growth in Ohio with our New Albany location this winter,” said Mike Rypka, Torchy’s CEO and Founder, in a press release, “We hope to see many of our Taco Junkies and soon-to-be-fans at these celebratory community events.”

To celebrate the opening, the taco chain will be offering the first 100 visitors a free Torchy’s T-shirt, and if they wear this shirt during a visit to the eatery’s Westerville location in the future, they’ll receive free Green Chile Queso.

Torchy’s Tacos, which began out of a Texas food trailer in 2007, also operates a location on the city’s Northwest Side and another in the Polaris area.
