From filets to ramen, these Columbus restaurants have incredible, elevated kids menus

Sav McKee

Maybe your kids are starting to grow out of the average kids menu, where hamburgers, hotdogs, and fries just don’t seem appetizing to them anymore after they watch their parents feast on steak. Or maybe, as a parent, you’re wanting to expand your child’s palate, providing them access to local bites that aren’t just deep-fried, beige pieces they’ll smother in ketchup.

Either way, we rounded up some Columbus restaurants that offer more elevated kids menus to help young adults feel a little more special at a family dinner.
(Plus, if they don’t finish, you’ll love them too.)

Molly Woo’s Asian Bistro  1500 Polaris Parkway Columbus, OH 43240
Your young adults can choose from chicken lo mein tossed with vegetables and sauce, sesame beef, or even pineapple fried chicken.

Lindey’s  69 E Beck St, Columbus, OH 43206
Their kids’ menu offers a pasta dish with any protein of your kid’s choice, including steak or shrimp.

The Avenue Steak Tavern  1307 Grandview Avenue, Grandview Heights, OH 43212
Chopped steak, seared salmon, and even a filet mignon…your youngster will be convinced they’re not even ordering off of the kids’ menu.

BROUGHT TO YOU BY

101 Craft Kitchen  Dublin, Gahanna, and Westerville locations
They upgrade classic kid choices – for example, they have Parmesan & panko crusted chicken tenders, a six-cheese Mornay sauce on their mac & cheese, and crispy fried shrimp, with sides such as watermelon and feta salad or Mexican street corn.

Cap City Fine Diner – 1299 Olentangy River Road
Their famous meatloaf is included on the kids’ menu, with buttermilk chive mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and broccoli, along offerings like a roasted chicken breast choice, or crispy fish’n chips.

Mecha Noodles965 N. High St.
The kids’ menu includes a KFC-inspired bao, noodles, chicken ramen, and smaller portions of pho, with high chairs available for families who want an inclusive and easy night out.

High Bank Distillery – Multiple Locations
Chicken quesadillas, grilled amish chicken, and other classics are on this kids’ menu.

Marcella’s Restaurant – Short North & Polaris Locations
Lasagna, tortellini, linguine, gnocchi, ravioli, oh my! There’s a lot of customized pasta dishes your bambino can create.

The Pearl  641 N. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215
They offer a fresh market catch of the day with mixed potatoes and fresh vegetables, along with other meals like fish & chips.

Jeff Ruby’s – 89 E Nationwide Blvd, Columbus, OH 43215
No more sharing bites of your filet with your kid – they can order their own on this menu. Other “fancy” kids’ menu options include a chicken freddie and bowtie pasta. (Don’t forget the ice cream sundae bar!)
