Dublin City Council approves plans for massive, European-style Christmas market
No need to fly out to Nuremberg or Dresden next year for Christmas, for our very own “Christkindlmarkt” will be debuting in 2026, and you definitely won’t want to miss it.
Last month, Dublin City Council approved an agreement to advance this Christkindlmarkt, which will be a European-style holiday market at Riverside Crossing Park.

According to Dublin’s website, the planning for this was meticulous. “Tthe City undertook significant research into the concept, including visits to similar events. One of which was Carmel, Indiana’s Christkindlmarkt, a German-inspired holiday market that has occurred annually since 2017. These visits inspired Dublin officials to envision a unique Dublin approach to the festive European experience,” they said.
Christkindlmarkt Dublin is expected to open next year and take place from the Saturday before Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve. The tentative hours of operation will be Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. Special holiday hours will be shared closer to the event.
“We are beyond excited to bring Christkindlmarkt Dublin, Ohio to life here in the city of Dublin,” said Maria Adele Rosenfeld, CEO of Christkindlmarkt Consulting, LLC. “Dublin’s recognition as a World Festival & Event City makes it a natural fit for this event. Its residents consistently rally behind meaningful community traditions, and I look forward to welcoming everyone to Christkindlmarkt Dublin, Ohio.”
