Horror museum coming to Ohio with haunted items & true crime artifacts plus serial killer-themed restaurant

Forget October – the spookiest month in Ohio this year could be in July.

The Ohio Museum of Horror is opening this July at 227 Harding Way E. in Galion, hopefully just in time for Inkcarceration festival at the Ohio State Reformatory which takes place July 18-20.

This museum will feature all things paranormal and, well, horrific. Think artifacts from true crime scenes, items that have been deemed “haunted” and “cursed,” Ouija boards, taxidermy, and even human bones.

The building itself is supposedly haunted, built in 1900. Ghost tours and other paranormal events are already in the works.

Most notably is the restaurant that will be attached to the museum, called “The Last Meal,” featuring the “last meal” dishes eaten by famous serial killers on death row, served to guests on prison-style platters.

The new museum is owned by Nate Thompson, and if that name sounds familiar, it’s because he also founded and opened The Michigan Museum of Horror.
