Local business closing after 17 years

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that we must announce we have to close our doors for good at the end of this season,” said a local business of 17 years.

Capital City Scooters, located at 2509 Summit St., announced that their days of selling Vespas and servicing electric scooters will soon be over.

“It’s been an amazing 17 years full of beautiful rides, beautiful friendships and lots of fun and laughter,” Capital City Scooters said on Facebook. “From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for a lifetime of wonderful memories. You are not our customers, you are our community and our friends. We’ll keep you updated as we figure things out but in the meantime we look forward to seeing you on the road. And as always, keep the rubber side down.”

The scooter shop still has a variety of scooters in-stock at their storefront. Some scooters and helmets are on major sale, too.
