New $19 million outdoor public pool complex coming to Central Ohio

In November of 2024, residents in Worthington voted to approve a $11.4 million pool replacement for the old complex next to Thomas Worthington High School.

Now, the new pool complex is projected to cost over $19 million, amidst worker shortages and tariffs, plus the addition of a splash pad, bench seating inside one of the pools, and a second water slide, which were approved by Worthington Council members.

Construction for the new pool starts in January of 2026 and should be completed by the summer of 2027.
