Study finds Columbus one of the ‘Most Livable Metro Areas’ in entire U.S., here’s why
It’s not just us; turns out many others, nationwide, see Columbus as a great city to reside in.
According to a study by Rent Cafe, which analyzed 149 U.S. Metro areas using 17 different metrics, such as cost of living and sense of community, Columbus is the 7th most livable metro area in the country.

The study gave Columbus this high rank due to its:
- Cost of living that’s 4.7% below the national average
- Focus on wellness
- Farm-to-table initiatives that make it easy for residents to access healthy, organic food
- Sports facilities, pools, fitness centers, and trails
- Economy
- Focus on higher education
Columbus is perfect for “foodies who are looking for new culinary hotspots, in addition to employment opportunities,” said Rent Cafe.
Coming in at number 1 is D.C.
