Dublin artists created 700+ pound Taylor Swift pumpkin—again

If you’ve lived in the Columbus area long enough, you likely already know that there’s another autumnal tradition in addition to Halloween: the unveiling of Jeanette Paras’ giant painted pumpkin each October.

For the past 37 years, Paras, under the moniker Paras Pumpkins, paints a massive pumpkin (at least several hundred pounds) to resemble a particularly influential celebrity for that year. Because each gourd is so massive, she typically only creates one every year.

In the past, she’s crafted pumpkins in the likeness of Donald Trump, Taylor Swift, Ted Lasso, Betty White and even Moo Deng. And this year?

It’s Taylor Swift, the only celeb to make a repeat appearance.

At 735 pounds, the “Taylor Swiftkin” (as Paras calls it), is the largest pumpkin Paras has ever painted. It sports long blonde locks and even a realistic pair of (giant) headphones. The source image the Dublin artist used this year was taken from an appearance Swift made on her fiance Travis Kelce’s podcast, New Heights.

“Any way you look at it, Taylor is winning at life. She’s in love and getting married, she continues producing wildly successful music for a legion of fans who want to see her perform. She is everywhere,” Paras said in a press release, who recently turned 70 and is a grandmother of five. “And as I like to say, ‘I don’t make the news, I pumpkinize it.’ That’s why I created Taylor SwiftKin again this year.”

The massive gourd was grown by Ashland residents Dan and Julia Kamburoff.
