‘Go Bananas’ at this unique Gahanna challenge, support local shops
It’s time to shop small, support local, and go a little bananas in Gahanna. The ‘Go Bananas for Gahanna!’ campaign has officially launched, hosted by The Gahanna Area Chamber of Commerce.
The organization has placed seven banana statues throughout different local businesses in Gahanna for patrons to find. If you discover a banana statue, you are in luck. Participants can scan a QR code on the statue, which will enter them into a drawing to win a $100 Visa gift card. If you find all seven banana statues and enter via the QR codes on each one, you will be eligible to for a $500 Visa gift card drawing.

Purchasing from the shops is not necessary to participate in the scavenger hunt, but showing your support and shopping small is always recommended. The event is running from now until September 30, 2025, which gives you plenty of time to explore Gahanna’s small businesses.
Follow the Gahanna Area Chamber of Commerce on Instagram and Facebook at @gahannaareachamber for clues and event updates, and tag them with a banana selfie if you find a statue! If your selfie is a standout — then you just might win a special prize.
