‘Midwest Living’ taps annual Columbus event as one of the nation’s best

Jack McLaughlin

This year’s Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival may be behind us already (after taking place June 13-14), but that won’t stop the event from receiving national accolades.

The annual Stonewall Pride Festival was mentioned in a recent list published by Midwest Living about 12 standout Midwest Pride events.

Here’s what Midwest Living said about Columbus pride:

“It’s the largest Pride celebration in the Midwest and it couldn’t be in a more fitting city: it’s the Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival (June 13-14, 2025). Since 2013, Columbus has ranked a perfect 100 on the Human Rights Campaign’s Municipal Equality Index, which measures the inclusivity of municipal laws, policies and services for the city’s LGBTQ+ residents. The Stonewall Columbus Pride festivities celebrate LGBTQ+ people and their tenacity to create an inclusive city.”

You did that read that first bit correctly, as the Stonewall Pride Festival is currently considered the Midwest’s largest, after recently surpassing g Chicago for this title.
