New independent bookstore coming to Grandview

Next year, the Columbus Indie Bookstore Crawl will have a new stop. Get ready book lovers, because an independent bookstore is coming to Grandview Heights, slated to open summer 2025.

Joining the line up of over a dozen independent bookstores in Columbus, Blue Couch Bookshop announced their opening on their Instagram account @bluecouchbookshop. Coming soon to 1445 Grandview Ave., located in the plaza next to Trattoria Roma, the new spot will sell more than just books. According to their online listing, Blue Couch Bookshop is “A woman-owned general bookstore in Columbus, Ohio selling games, gifts and new books for all ages.”

Although the highly-anticipated bookstore won’t be open until the summer, patrons can start shopping now through their bookshop.org link, where books can be ordered online. The store has also announced a partnership with Libro.fm, an audiobook membership platform that lets you purchase audiobooks directly from your local bookstore. So if you’re ready to start supporting Blue Couch Bookshop now, there are plenty of ways to do so.

In a city known for its famous 32-room independent bookstore, 23 Columbus Metro Library locations, and thriving literary scene of award-winning authors, it’s safe to say that we are bookish people. Blue Couch Bookshop will announce the official grand opening details on their Instagram account, and until then, we’ll be waiting!
