This Columbus neighborhood named by national travel publication as one of the country’s top destinations ‘with a foreign feel’

German Village was recently tapped as one of the top destinations in the country boasting “a foreign feel.”
According to a survey of more than 3,000 travelers conducted by Turn the Paige Travel, German Village was ranked the nation’s 31st-best foreign-inspired destination out of 140 total named by travelers.
“This historic district in Columbus features brick streets, German-style pubs, and charming houses that evoke a traditional German town. Settled in the mid-1800s by German immigrants, German Village is a historic district characterized by brick-paved streets and red-brick homes arranged in a European style,” the survey says about the Columbus neighborhood.

German Village was one of four Ohio spots named (Zoar, Over-the-Rhine and Sugarcreek were the other three), but the local neighborhood was the highest-ranked destination in the Buckeye State.
