10 of the coolest parties happening in Columbus this New Year’s Eve
The urge to stay in this New Year’s Eve might be strong, but there are plenty of hotspots in Columbus that are hosting their own parties so that you don’t have to. That’s right—no need to worry about scouring five different grocery stores for the best caviar and champagne in town when the coolest places around already have that for you.
Here are some of the best places to be for NYE this (next?) year:
Jazz, Champagne, and Caviar at Ginger Rabbit Jazz Lounge
A more sophisticated night, with champagne, caviar and a 90-minute live jazz set! Showtimes start at 6:00 & 8:30 PM. Tickets are $100/person.

OSU Playoffs at DraftKings
Some people prefer champagne and caviar, but maybe you prefer beer and wings. Grab a seat for the OSU vs. Miami playoffs at DraftKings. Doors open at 4PM, the game will be playing on the huge screens starting at 7:30, and there will be a midnight toast and major giveaways!
Weekend Getaway at Hotel LeVeque
Ditch the Uber this NYE. Drink as much bubbly as you want, dance the night away, and then walk right upstairs for the best night’s sleep in this luxury hotel. This NYE package includes a bottle of bubbly with two champagne flutes (that you can keep!), party favors, turn down service, and a celebration in the lobby with live music, a toast, mesmerizing balloon drop, and live coverage of the ball drop.

5-course Dinner at Metsi’s
A cozy, intimate NYE dinner service complete with a 5-course tasting menu comprising dishes like lobster arancini, black truffle gnocchi, lamb chops and more. Service times range from 4:15-10:30 PM, starting at $125 per person.
NYE Speakeasy at Service Bar
A roaring 20s-themed NYE bash with a luxe menu and craft cocktails, need we say more? Times start at 5 PM-9:30 PM, and prices are based off what guests select off the menu. Don’t forget to dress the part!
Tennis Ball Drop at Bumble’s Backyard
Your dogs deserve some fun, too…at Bumble’s Backyard, one of Columbus’ premier dog parks, they’re hosting their second annual tennis ball drop, where a ton of tennis balls are dropped for your dogs to catch. The best part is that it won’t actually interfere with your other NYE plans! The two sessions are from 1-3 PM or 4-6 PM on December 31.
Cowboy Disco at Understory
Dust off your boots and chaps Understory’s building-wide party. Expect a live DJ, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a champagne toast, and a disco and/or cowboy vibe at each corner. Yee haw to that! The party starts at 8 and ends at 1 AM, and tickets range from $65-$700.
NYE Dining Experience at Wolf’s Ridge Brewing
Enjoy a 3-course, prex fixe menu with menu highlights like sweet potato bisque, grilled hanger steak with bordelaise and roasted parsnip, and sachertorte with Baltic Porter ice cream, plus much more. In Wolf’s Ridge’s adjacent Taproom, enjoy even more food and partying, with more casual options like pork sandwiches, Irish coffee, and more. The OSU/Miami game will of course be on the big screen projector in the taproom (but not the dining room!)
New Year in the Sky at Astra
Maybe this year is the year to skip out on a basement party and fly high up on a rooftop. Astra’s event includes a prix fixe dinner and a NYE party from 7 PM-1 AM, with a DJ, dancing, cocktails, late-night snacks, and a midnight champagne toast. The event starts at $89 per person with the option to upgrade to a premium tomahawk experience.
NYE at Franklin Park Conservatory
For a more family friendly option, check out the Conservatory’s event, with party hat making, games, dancing, and a countdown to 12…noon, that is…with a bubble stomp. The cost is just general admission and no registration is required.
There are so many other NYE parties to check out, as well, including at:
