100-plus year old Columbus bakery shares details of anticipated second location

While an opening date hasn’t been announced just yet, Resch’s Bakery still has a handful of interesting updates about its hugely-anticipated second location.
Resch’s initially confirmed their expansion last summer—the new storefront will be located at 150 N. Hamilton Rd.—but has not provided any updates on the new bakery since last summer.
Until recently, that is.

On Feb. 4, Resch posted an informational update to its website about the new location, which includes photos, background and more.
The post explains how the new Resch’s, which is replacing the former home of a Gahanna Dollar General, will be “significantly larger” than its current storefront, which is located at 4061 E. Livingston Ave.
Resch’s post goes on to say that the larger space means patrons will be able to enjoy their favorite donuts and pastries, ones the bakery has been serving since 1912, but also new varieties.
“This means customers can look forward to an even wider selection of Resch’s famous donuts, cakes, pastries, and other baked goods. The expanded production facility will also allow Resch’s to increase their output and potentially introduce new items to their menu,” the bakery’s update reads.
Resch’s noted last summer that the new location is slated to open in the spring of 2025. While it’s unclear if that remains the opening timeline, it is clear Resch’s is making progress toward its new Gahanna space.
