20-year-old bakery & cafe announces sudden closure

A local bakery known for cakes, croffles, and even chicken teriyaki announced that it won’t be going into the new year with us.

Tea Zone Bakery and Cafe, located at 5025 Olentangy River Rd., posted on their Facebook that they’ll be closing their doors for good tomorrow, December 31. “We are so grateful for your support, loyalty, and love over the years,” they said.

The local bakery opened in 2005, transferring ownership in 2021. They specialize in Korean-inspired baked goods, delicious hot teas, bubble teas, and even savory Asian fare such as ramen and bulgogi.
