30 year-old Columbus cookie company announces closure of Arena District location
A long-standing spot for sweet treats is preparing to shutter its storefront.
A Blessed Cookie Co., which has been a fixture in the Arena District for nearly three decades, will close the doors of its storefront inside the Nationwide building. It’s located at 3 Nationwide Plaza, near the atrium of the building. A social media statement from the business cited the “current financial climate” as reason for the closure.
“The decision is bittersweet. We have enjoyed and will miss the daily interactions with you. However, this decision will allow ABC to explore opportunities for increased future revenues,” A Blessed Cookie Co. said in its statement. It also plans to temporarily suspend online sales starting June 20.

While fans of A Blessed Cookie Co. are losing its Arena District storefront, the dessert spot noted that it believes “another best is yet to come.” Tolber is asking followers to check their Instagram account regularly to learn what’s next for the business.
