30 year-old Columbus eatery opens new location for the first time

There’s a first time for everything,

Long-standing Columbus eatery the Yappy Greek learned this first-hand when it launched its first new location in its nearly 30-year history.

The Greek eatery held its grand opening on June 12. It’s located at 193 E. Campus View Blvd.

The concept was originally located at 455 E. Wilson Bridge Rd., where it operated for 28 years, although this restaurant has now closed.

Billed as an “American deli and Greek restaurant,” the Yappy Greek offers gyros, shawarma and other pita dishes, in addition to bowls and a slew of traditional Greek options. The eatery’s menu also includes a variety of Greek-American fusion sandwiches, like its Cajun Chicken, Philly Cheese Steak and even a Greek Style Cheese Burger, topped with feta cheese, creamy garlic dressing, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and banana peppers.
