60+ year-old pizzeria abruptly closes

A popular spot for crispy, Columbus-style pizza pies and other Italian favorites abruptly closed on Saturday, September 6.

On Friday, Vick’s Gourmet Pizza, established in 1961 and located at 7345 E. Main St. in Reynoldsburg, posted a sign on their door that their last day would be the next day, on 9/6, and that they would be cash only until their closing day. On their actual last day, they posted a sign saying they couldn’t take anymore orders. Understandably, the community, who has been getting pizza from Vick’s for decades, was bummed.

This wasn’t announced on their social media—and customers were left confused, asking if they were really closing. Vick’s did not respond to the request for comments from customers or (614), but they are indeed, officially closed.
