61-year-old local pizzeria up for sale

Carlo Lombardi, whose family bought Panzera’s Pizza in 1976, is officially ready for retirement after working at the pizza shop since he was 17 years old. But that doesn’t mean the longstanding pizzeria is closing.

Panzera’s Pizza, a Grandview mainstay located at 1354 Grandview Ave., is officially on the market. Lombardi is searching for someone to buy the entire business, and the building that comes with it, for $1.59 million.

The pizzeria first opened here in Columbus in 1964, eventually settling in Grandview in 1983. The Panzera family immigrated to Grandview in 1955.

Whoever buys the property and business can keep the Panzera Pizza name as well as their recipes, or they can decide to start their own concepts, says the listing.
