614 feast names his top Super Bowl indulgences for the big game

Super Bowl Sunday is this weekend, and with Kansas City and Philadelphia in the big game, it only makes sense to feature their most iconic foods. In the spirit of competition, I’m putting some of my favorite game-day eats in Columbus head-to-head. From cheesesteaks to ribs and beyond, every matchup is a winner—and totally feast-worthy.
Representing Kansas City: The Rib Battle. If you’ve got a bone to pick—specifically a rib bone—which one takes the W?
- Hoggy’s BBQ (830 Bethel Rd) Tender, juicy, and perfectly smoked, these ribs are coated in the house rub, and you can choose your sauce. This week, I suggest the Spicy Kansas City BBQ sauce
- Hank’s Texas BBQ (2941 N High St) Fall-off-the-bone tender but not mushy, these ribs are great. I like them with the Habanero Peach sauce.
Representing Philadelphia: The Cheesesteak Showdown. Both of these are top-tier, but which one takes the title?
- Wario’s Beef and Pork (multiple) The Steak – Wario’s Way Shaved ribeye, grilled onions, house whiz, provolone and white American cheese on a semolina seeded roll.
- Marlow’s Cheesesteaks (multiple) Marlow’s Way Steak, cheese wiz, provolone, sautéed onions, mushrooms, hot peppers, mayo and spicy mustard (I pass on the mustard).

Now let’s talk pizza—every game day needs a slice or two. Which pizza party are you going to?
- Cardo’s Pizza (3606 Lockbourne Rd) Thin crust pizza with a crispy crust, tasty sauce, and loaded with toppings, I go with pepperoni and sausage.
- Yellow Brick Pizza (multiple) Chicago style stuffed pizza loaded with mozzarella melted between two layers of pizza dough & topped with chunky red sauce, add pepperoni.
Of course, no Super Bowl spread is complete without wings. What’s your game-day chicken wing pick?
- Roadhouse Wings & Grille (2177 Hilliard Rome Rd, Hilliard) Some of the best traditional chicken wings, they’re large, crispy, and juicy. I like that you choose your sauce flavor and the heat level, my go to is the Garlic x-hot dipped in blue cheese.
- Press Grill (multiple) A crispy classic, fried to perfection. I go with medium, and they’re perfect as-is or great for dipping.
