70 year old breakfast chain files permit for new Central Ohio location
In the world of mimosas and avocado toasts, there’s still a restaurant that sticks to the no-frills classics, and it’s been able to acquire loyal fans after all of these years.
Waffle House, which first opened in 1955, is planning on bringing their smothered hashbrowns to a 23rd location here in Central Ohio. The 24/7 breakfast chain filed an application for a lot at 5026 N. Hamilton Rd., near Gahanna.

The menu at Waffle House sticks to traditional breakfast classics. It’s relatively affordable too — The All Star Special, which includes two eggs, sausage or bacon, toast, and a waffle, is around $10-$11 at most of their restaurants.
