According to national food publication, this Columbus eatery offers the best sub sandwiches in Ohio

It’s not Katzinger’s, Brown Bag Deli or Wario’s Beef & Pork.

According to a Lovefood story from earlier this month, Susie’s Sub Shop offers the best sub sandwiches in the entire Buckeye State.

“From Philly-style subs to veggie rolls with mushrooms, onions, and peppers, the sandwiches at Susie’s Sub Shop are always delicious,” the Lovefood story, which names the best sub sandwiches spots in every state, reads. “They’re huge, too, which means it’s tough to finish even the tastiest of offerings on the menu (best-ever meatball sub, we’re looking at you). Another favorite is the roast beef, served on perfectly baked rolls. The spot is also known for pizza and – brilliantly – pizza subs, with all the classic toppings stuffed into a roll.”

Susie’s, which is located at 3739 Karl Rd., has been serving sub sandwiches to Columbus since 1959.
