If you were among the thousands of Central Ohioans bummed about a mainstay pizzeria abruptly closing in September, we have some good news for you.

Today, October 20th, at 2 p.m. Vick’s Gourmet Pizza is holding their grand reopening. The pizzeria, established in 1961 at 7345 E. Main St. in Reynoldsburg, closed their doors on September 6th.

But then, on October 8th, Vick’s surprised the public by announcing their comeback on Facebook. The owner, Charlotte Vickers, explained that her initial reason for closing was mainly due to financial reasons. Charlotte was also grieving her late husband, who died in March.

“I needed rest,” she explained in a Facebook video. “The following Friday [after closing] I went to my window, peeked out, and saw nobody at Vick’s…nobody in front of it…and it was devastating.”

She explained that the week after closing, she also received a check from the IRS, which led her to believe that, “Vick’s is supposed to still be here in Reynoldsburg.”

Starting today, upcoming specials include:
Monday & Tuesday: 1 topping large pizza for $17
Friday & Saturday, October 24th and 25th only: any 1 topping Raider pizza for just $29.95.
