After being hit by pickup truck last year, historic Short North spot announces reopening

Char Bar has served as a Short North hotspot since 1962, and even a truck crashing into its building didn’t keep the historic Columbus spot down for long.
After a pickup truck crashed into the entrance of Char Bar on Sept. 1, and following rumors that the longtime bar would close earlier this year, the Short North concept announced that it plans to officially reopen this week.
According to a social media post from Char Bar, it will open its doors to the public on April 3.
