After closing in May, incredibly popular Asian restaurant reopening in Short North after community requests

Understandably, it’s always hard losing a restaurant that you love, especially one that serves gourmet sushi and delicious Japanese fare.

So when The 1126 Restaurant closed in May, they took to heart what the community said. “It was highly requested that we reopen,” said a spokesperson for 1126. “It’s a staple in The Short North.”

They’re officially reopening in September, in the exact same spot at 1126 N. High St. It’s the fourth of Daniel Chen’s restaurants, which also include Blue Sushi near Polaris, plus 698 Restaurant and Song Lan Restaurant.

While the menu will remain the same as everyone knew and loved, a full rebrand and renovation of the restaurant is taking place. 

We’re excited to visit, yet again!
