After leaving nearly two decades ago, incredibly popular fast food chain returning to Columbus

A popular, national fried chicken wing restaurant closed within six months of opening their first, and only, Ohio location in Columbus back in 2008, which was located near OSU at 2108 N. High St.

But sometimes, distance makes the heart grow fonder.

Zaxbys, the chain known for their hand-breaded and fried chicken and 12 dipping sauces since 1990, signed on for 10 new restaurants in Ohio. According to their press release, these new locations will specifically be in Columbus and Dayton.

A Zaxbys was already approved for new construction (with a drive-thru!) at the Liberty Township’s Board of Trustee meeting last year, but as for the Columbus locations, no specific address has been provided.

But one thing’s for sure: it’s officially on its way.
