After months-long closure, popular Columbus pizzeria reopens

Powell pizza people, your Massey’s Pizza has returned.

Massey’s Powell eatery, which is located at 9838 Brewster Ln., has reopened under new ownership after closing earlier this year.

According to new franchisee Vikas Potu, the pizzeria quietly held its soft opening late last week. He noted the eatery isn’t advertising the reopening yet, as he and the staff gather “hands-on experience” at the location.

Potu said he saw potential in the chain’s Powell eatery.

“When I looked at the neighborhood it looked really good, and it was very close to all the communities, and close to the Kroger, and the zoo, and all of those bring in a lot of people,” he said.

Massey’s official grand opening for the storefront is still in works, although Potu said the date will be shared soon. He plans to roll out multiple deals on speciality pizzas for the event.
