After nearly a decade, this cupcake-focused bakery is closing ‘indefinitely’
A Columbus-based cupcake spot is calling it quits. For a while, at least.
According to a lengthy social media statement from Cupcakes by Lindsey, the local homemaker that typically saw patrons pre-order and pick up over the weekend is closing indefinitely.
“Today is Aug. 16, 2025 and that means that today would have marked me being in business nine years now. I say this in the past tense because I’ve decided to close Cupcakes by Lindsay indefinitely,” the post reads.

Owner Lindsey Rodgers noted her decision came out over time and organically, and the stress and pressures of owning and operating a small business began to take their tolls.

According to Rogers’ post, she isn’t categorically certain the closure is permanent, although at the very least the concept won’t be returning anytime soon.
“Maybe this closing isn’t forever and maybe it is. Whatever the future holds, I’m always open to creating for you again if life leads me that way,” her post reads.
