After nearly five years, Columbus taco truck announces first-ever brick and mortar location
A popular Columbus taco truck is landing a brick and mortar home for the first time.
Earlier this week, AJ’s Tacos announced that it plans to open its own restaurant space.
“The journey began with a year of renting a food truck, followed by the purchase of our food trailer, and last year, renting a ghost kitchen. We are deeply grateful for the support we have received over the past five years, as well as the loyalty of our customers who have constantly returned to us,” the post reads. “Our ultimate goal was to open a restaurant where we could offer our guests an exceptional dine-in experience, complimented by a bar, which will be introduced soon.”

AJ’s restaurant will be located At 3307 Sullivant Ave., in Columbus’ Westgate neighborhood, where its food truck is regularly parked. The truck can typically be found at 3059 W. Broad St.
The new eatery will likely open in early November.
“After five years of serving from our food truck and ghost kitchen, opening our very first brick-and-mortar means everything to us. It’s the chance to share an expanded menu, welcome guests to sit and stay awhile, and finally bring to life the dream we’ve carried since the very beginning,” owners Agustin and Rachael Aguirre told 614now.
