After over a decade, popular bar & music venue announces closure

“Community isn’t a building. It’s the people that make it,” said the Instagram post announcing Rambling House’s closure.

In June, the co-owner of Rambling House, located at 319 E. Hudson St., announced he was stepping down and looking for someone to take over the bar and music venue.

Two months later, it appears that no one else stepped up. As a result, on October 1st, Rambling House will shut its doors for good, according to their Instagram post. They’ll be refunding any tickets purchased for shows scheduled past this date, and they’re still looking for a buyer. “We will provide favorable terms to anyone committed to reopening the music venue. If that could be you—alone or as a part of a team—reach out to us directly,” said the announcement.

Rambling House is encouraging the community to still show up to the bar and venue this upcoming month and have some fun.
