After temporarily closing in 2023, this Columbus taproom is back by popular demand

Nearly two years after announcing a temporary closure, Columbus Brewing Co. (CBC) is bringing back its lauded local taproom.

After shuttering in late 2023—and after fielding a litany of requests to reopen since it’s been closed—the brewery’s West Side taproom will reopen under the name Tracksuit Taproom. It’s located at 2555 Harrison Rd.

“I think it was just about timing. We definitely heard from our guests, people love the taproom and have missed the taproom,” said CBC vice president of retail operations Vicki Hink. ”So we wanted to kind of deliver on that promise of reopening, but bring it back in a way that adds something new and exciting to the CBC experience.”

And that something new is more than just a new name and a fresh coat of paint.

Through Jan. 4, Tracksuit Taproom will boast festive vibes as it’s transformed into a “cozy holiday haven,” complete with themed music, decor and more. The reopening will also coincide with this year’s launch of the taproom’s namesake beer (Tracksuit Santa), a spiced holiday ale.

“We definitely plan for it to be kind of like the ultimate holiday destination in Columbus,” Hink said. “So it’s going to be fully decorated, like every inch, every wall, the ceiling. It’s going to be an over-the-top kind of holiday experience.”

Eventually, the rebooted CBC taproom plans to offer its own on-site food, but until then, the space will lean into food trucks and trailers. It plans to serve all your favorite regular-rotation CBC beers, in addition to plenty of specialty offerings, like weekly Tracksuit Santa infusions, other seasonal releases and more.

Starting Nov. 6, the taproom will be open:

-Thursday: 2 p.m. – 9 p.m.
-Friday: 2 p.m. – 9 p.m.
-Saturday: 12 p.m. – 9 p.m.
-Sunday: 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.
