Amid financial woes, Easton location of burger chain closing; dozens of others could be too 

Another restaurant chain is feeling the pressure of the economy, and over 70 restaurants could be on the chopping block. One here in Central Ohio already is.

Red Robin, the Washington-based gourmet burger chain, announced last week that due to ongoing financial troubles, they’ll potentially have to close 70 underperforming restaurants across the U.S.

According to the Easton location’s manager, they’re one of these underperforming spots. The last day the restaurant will be open is March 16th. The manager said that all of the staff and managers are able to move to the restaurants that will remain open for the foreseeable future, in Grove City, Hilliard, Polaris, and Pickerington.

The company reported almost a $40 million net loss just in the fourth quarter alone of 2024, according to a press release.
