Anime restaurant announces closure, but then says they were hacked and remaining open
A Hungarian Village restaurant known for vegan fare and anime cosplay announced over the weekend that they’d be permanently closing via an Instagram post. The chef himself commented on the post saying this was the first time he heard they were closing, and the vegan community was collectively sad.
But then today, Hidden Leaf Cafe announced that they were hacked. “We would like to apologize to the community for the confusion. Our account was hacked,” they posted on Facebook this morning.

“Yes, it’s true that we may loose the building as the landlords are trying to sell it. We have been struggling & fighting behind the scenes to keep it going. In the meantime we will continue to keep healing the community in the building until our journey goes in a different direction.”
Hidden Leaf serves meals like Kamichi KBBQ Fried Rice, vegan ramen, Asian-style buns, and much more. They’re located at 181 E. Innis Ave.
