Anticipated, upscale sushi restaurant opens in gorgeous space

Hopefully we all know by now to never judge a restaurant based on its location in a strip mall (for example, HARU and Akai Hana, among plenty of others!).
We can add another restaurant to the “unassuming strip mall location that’s gorgeous inside and serving elevated food inside”: The Blue Sushi, a sister-sushi restaurant to 698 in the Short North, that just opened near Polaris.
The upscale sushi restaurant boasts ornate Japanese lanterns hanging from the ceiling, offering a soft glow, plus a stunning sushi bar, and an all-around cozy ambiance. The extensive menu not only offers sushi specialties, but also cold appetizers like lobster tuna rolls and Bluefin tuna avocado tartar, plus hot appetizers, soups & salads, and full entrees, including miso truffle udon, Kung Pao chicken, black truffle fried rice, and more.
A full sake menu is offered, as well as house cocktails, beer, and wine.
The Blue Sushi just opened at 1436 Gemini Pl. and the reviews are in: the food is as gorgeous as their interior.
There are no reservations offered for now, but feel free to walk in Monday-Friday, 11:30am-2:30 for lunch and 4:30-9pm for dinner, as well as all day Saturday (11:30am-9:30pm) and Sunday (11:30-9pm).
