“We bought out the majority owner group and wanted to do a fresh start and utilize the amazing property we have here. Focus more on family experience. Hence the name counterbalance brewing,” Sherrill said. “Balancing work, family, and free time/fun time can sometimes be difficult. We wanted to have a place where there can be all of that. We have open WiFi so folks can come and do laptop work, we have space for kids to play and parents to mingle. Our motto is ‘Find Your Balance.’”
The new concept, which will feature a remodeled interior and updated patio, will also focus more on lower ABV beers, according to Sherrill.
“It’s about enjoying your experience. Sipping a low ABV beer that still has flavor. We’re still going to do the fun stuff, now we will be offering gluten free fruited sours and bringing in more ciders and alcoholic free beers,” he said.
