Cigar & bourbon lounge opens next to new wine bar, both in historic buildings
Two historic, 1830s cabins here in Central Ohio got a whole new life.
When Todd Corwin, his wife, and his brother Mark Corwin bought two adjacent properties at 30 and 32 South High St. in Old Dublin, they knew they’d be perfect for two different concepts.
30 S. High St. has transformed into The Apothecary Cigar and Bourbon lounge, with the historic cabin itself acting as a natural humidor. After much anticipation, it’s now open! They added a 20×40 addition on the back side of the cabin for restrooms and a bourbon bar, too, keeping some original wood from the cabin and making the space as natural as possible. Todd emphasized that he and his brother even sandblasted and repurposed some o the logs, “So everyone can enjoy some of Dublin’s history when they visit!”

Outside, there’s a deck and a large green space that allows for plenty of seating and cigar smoking. Although guests are not allowed to smoke inside of the building, the smoking pavilion outside will be heated in the winter months. And, The Apothecary sells cigars on-site if you forgot to bring one.
For those who prefer wine over bourbon and cigars, no worries—right next door at 32 S. High St. is Uncorked Wine Tastings, with self dispensing wine machines. You can choose from over 48 bottles of wine! If you find one you like, you can purchase a bottle right there on the spot. And if your friends are next door, the backyards of both the wine lounge and cigar/bourbon lounge are shared.
Small snacks, like “adult” charcuterie boards, are available at Uncorked, and Corwin said they absolutely allow food from other restaurants to be brought in, or have it delivered.
