Coffee & sandwich shop replaces decades-old former pizzeria

Although one of Central Ohio’s favorite pizzerias no longer resides in this building, perhaps it can be one of Central Ohio’s favorite coffee shops.

Little Italy Ristorante left their space at 619 Main St. in Groveport to move to 480 Main St., and their old space has been sitting empty since 2023.

But not any longer. Main Ground Coffee has officially opened in that space, owned and operated by the Ward family, who also run Little Italy, and have been running it since 1966.

Main Ground Coffee serves Crimson Cup drip and espresso, plus iced lattes and frozen creations as well. They’ll also serve sandwiches, like the Main Street Melt, with ham, turkey, bacon, melted Swiss, and apple-bacon jam, all on focaccia, plus a ton of breakfast options, like hashbrowns bites, egg bites, and biscuit sandwiches.

They’re open 6am-6pm Monday through Friday, 7am-4pm on Saturday, and 8am-4pm on Sunday.
