Columbus coffee company takes top overall spot at international “world series” competition

The overall winner of the 2025 Golden World Series is located right here in Columbus.

Each entrant submitted coffee in three categories: Espresso, Espresso and Milk and Filter/Pour Over. Crimson’s director of sustainability, Brandon Bir, said Crimson’s Espresso and Milk entry (which contained their Tired Goat Decaf), won the World Series gold medal in the category, and their cumulative score was enough to give them an overall victory.
“Going [to the event], I didn’t know where we stood, because you’re going up against people in South America and China, people who have access to coffees we don’t have access to,” said Bir. “But then I tasted it and damn, it hit. It was so good.”
